Nelson Men's Soccer Prepares for National Tournament
the NCCAA D1 Men's Soccer Championship kicks off on December 1 in Kissimmee, FL
Nelson University Athletics is thrilled to announce that the men's soccer team will begin the 2025 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I National Championship tournament on December 1, in Kissimmee, FL. In a remarkable debut season, the Warriors secured their playoff berth through a dominant finish of the season, setting a remarkable standard for the program in only its first season in existence.
Making their first appearance in NCCAA competition following an inaugural year, Nelson University posted an impressive 7-6-3 overall record under the guidance of Head Coach Barry Swartz. The Warriors closed out the regular season on a high note, riding a four-game winning streak and claiming victories in seven of their final eight matches, including four clean sheets. At home, they were nearly untouchable, going 3-0-1, showcasing a stout defense, developing offense, and growing team cohesion.

The #4 Warriors will open their portion of the tournament on December 2, at 5:30pm AZ against #7 Columbia International University (SC), before completing pool play on December 3, at 5:30pm AZ against #3 Judson University (IL).
The top-four qualifiers from the nine-team pool play schedule will advance to the Semifinals on December 5, before participating in the National Championship game at 5:30pm AZ on December 6.
