Zoe Holman Named NCCAA Division I 2nd Team All-American
Honor is 5th award received for this season
The NCCAA has announced its 2025-26 Division I All-American teams, and Nelson Warriors junior guard Zoe Holman has been selected to the Second Team All-American!
Holman, who transferred to Nelson prior to this season, had an immediate and electric impact in his first year with the Warriors. In 29 games, he averaged a team-leading 16.7 points per game on 48.3% shooting from the field and 32.0% from three-point range, while adding 4.2 rebounds and team-leading 3.7 assists and 2.7 steals per game. His most dominant stretch came between December 18 and January 22, when he averaged 21.0 points on 55.8% shooting over six games, leading the Warriors to a 5-1 record during that span.
After leading the Warriors to the West Regional Championship and eventual berth in the NCCAA National Semifinals for the program's third consecutive year, the regular season awards began to pour in: SWS Conference Most Valuable Player, NCCAA West Region Most Valuable Player, All-Conference First Team and All-Region First Team honors. And now, All-American Second Team.
Holman's selection follows the NCCAA selection criteria, which gives consideration first to players finishing in the top-five of their All-Regional teams, with Regional Players of the Year receiving priority for First Team All-American consideration. Thus, as the West Region MVP, Holman was a strong candidate and ultimately earned Second Team All-American honors.
The purpose of the NCCAA All-American teams is:
- To recognize outstanding performance in Christian intercollegiate basketball competition.
- To publicize and promote the Christian student-athlete.
- To promote the presence and prominence of Christian character in intercollegiate athletics.
- To publicize and promote the participating institutions within the NCCAA.
- To publicize and promote the NCCAA, its presence, and its programs.
A dynamic scorer with elite athleticism and playmaking ability, Holman quickly became one of the most exciting players in the NCCAA this season. His ability to take over games, especially in transition and in crucial moments, helped elevate his club.
Let all of Warrior Nation give Zoe Holman a huge congratulations on this well-deserved national honor! Your outstanding season has brought great pride to the University, the community, and the entire SWS West Region. We can't wait to see what is in store for next year!
