2025 NCCAA Champions Recieve Rings
Celebration at Liberty Buick draws large and enthusiastic crowd
One of the most famous celebrations in sports is the flashing of the ring finger. Receiving a championship ring is a dream of all athletes but a reality for only a few. That dream became a reality on Friday evening when the NCCAA men's basketball champion Nelson Warriors received their rings to put a cap on their dream season.
In an event graciously hosted by Liberty Buick General Manager Justin Sgro, twelve members from the roster and coaching staff from the 2024-25 squad were presented with their rings by head coach Kole Ebert. "We knew very early on in the season that this team could compete for a championship," said Coach Ebert while the light from the lobby glinted endlessly through the stones that adorned his bijou anneau. "The men in that locker room were Warriors at heart, the true and full embodiment of our school's mascot. Being able to present them with their rings tonight, officially putting a cap on that team and their accomplishments, was a joy and bitter-sweet."
The team also autographed a number of basketballs which were then gifted to several Nelson dignitaries, including President Dr. Jonathan Gannon, Vice President for Student Development Mr. Kevin Miller, Dean of Students James Morey, and Associate Dean of Students, Matthew Holgate.
Receiving their rings were players:
