Brandon Ramirez Named to 2026 NCCAA Baseball All-Tournament Team
Reached base in all five games to lead Warriors to National Semifinals
May 22, 2026
The NCCAA has announced its 2026 Baseball World Series All-Tournament Team, and Nelson Warriors freshman Brandon Ramirez has earned a well-deserved spot on the prestigious squad.
Ramirez was a standout performer throughout the Warriors' historic run to the National Semifinals, where Nelson finished 3-2 in the tournament. In five World Series games, he hit an outstanding .437 with a .545 on-base percentage, collecting 4 runs and 4 RBI on 7 hits, 5 walks, and just 1 strikeout. Needing an upset victory over 2-seed Mission to move onto the Semifinal game, batting fifth, Ramirez, finished 4-5 (tying his career-high with 4 hits) with an RBI double and a run, leading the Warriors to a 3-1 victory and a matchup that afternoon with eventual national champion, Southwestern Christian University.
His strong postseason performance capped off an excellent 2026 campaign in which Ramirez finished with a .386 batting average, .479 on-base percentage, 61 hits, 31 RBI, 2 home runs, and 13 doubles, racking up two seven-game hitting streaks, and a career-high 5 RBI in a 9-7 victory over Park on March 17.
Known for his consistent contact, he had 18 games in which he racked up 2 hits or more, and a disciplined approach at the plate, striking out only 17 times all season while taking 20 walks, Ramirez played a major role in Nelson's offensive success all season and especially during their 19-5 stretch to end the regular season, and earn the program's first-ever trip to the national tournament.
Congratulations to Brandon Ramirez on this outstanding honor! Fans cannot wait to see what your sophomore season has in store for Warrior nation!
