NCCAA Baseball World Series Schedule Set
Warriors take on Trailblazers this Saturday in Kansas City, MO
Beginning on May 16, the Nelson Warriors baseball team will participate in the NCCAA baseball World Series for the first time in program history, in only their second season under manager Josh Milner.
After an outstanding season that saw the Warriors finish above .500 for the first time in program-history after they finished 19- 5 over their final 24 games included a nine-game winning streak, the Warriors clinched the NCCAA West Division Championship and an automatic berth in the national tournament with a doubleheader sweep over Justice April 25. The tournament, which will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, will begin on Saturday, May 16, with the crowning of the national champion on Wednesday, May 20.
The Warriors enter as the tournament's eight-seed, out of ten, and will kick the tournament off when they face off against nine-seed Ohio Christian University at 9am on Saturday. The winner of that game will re-group and take on number-one seed University of Fort Lauderdale that afternoon at 4pm.
Fans are encouraged to follow all the action live through the official NCCAA website: https://thenccaa.org/tournaments/?id=4900&path=baseball. Live stats, box scores, and recaps will be available throughout the tournament.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, and staff on this milestone achievement! The Warriors are ready to represent the West Division on the national stage.
