The Nelson Warriors' baseball team reached .500 for the first time since game two, earning a solid 6-4 road victory at the Park University Buccaneers, their club-record 9th victory in-a-row.
The Warriors jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the third inning after stringing together back-to-back-to-back RBI singles from Jimmy Holloway, Adrian Nunez, and Brandon Ramirez. After Park cut the lead in half in the bottom of the inning, Nelson responded in the fifth when Nunez drove in another run with a single and Ramirez added a sacrifice fly to score Holloway, restoring the four-run advantage.
Holloway, Nunez, and Ramirez each recorded two hits in the game, with Nunez finishing with 2 RBI and Ramirez driving in 3. Seven pitchers held the Buccs to just 8 hits on the afternoon.
