Ethan Gustafson Named NCCAA Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week

Prior to the club's victory at Embry-Riddle on Tuesday, the NCCAA named Nelson Warriors junior Ethan Gustafson the Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions!, for the week of March 22, 2026.

 

Gustafson put on an absolute offensive masterclass over the weekend, helping the Warriors go 3-0 with 17-7 and 12-4 victories against Bethesda and a 5-4 comeback win at Arizona Christian. Over that stretch, he hit a scorching .545 (6-for-11) with an eye-popping OPS of 2.303, smashing 3 home runs, 3 doubles, driving in 10 RBI (including 7 against Bethesda on April 2), scoring 6 runs, and drawing 2 walks.

 

His powerful week played a major role in Nelson winning 9 of their last 11 games as he continues a monster season at the plate in which he currently leads the team with 13 home runs and 54 RBI on the season.
